2014 06 Rev'd Preben AndersenDear friends,

As your minister, I want you all to know that while I shall always make every effort to respond quickly to urgent pastoral and ongoing needs (e.g. people who are ill in hospitals or in their homes) as and when I am informed about them, I am equally available to anyone who feels lonely, despondent, or simply could do with a listening ear and a kindly word on a one to one (and perhaps one off) basis. I try and get round and speak to as many of you as possible at the regular church activities, and for some that may often be sufficient, but please, please never hesitate to give me a ring on 01291 430574 if and when you would like to see me privately. May I also ask you to leave a message on my answerphone if I am not here when you ring. I realize that some people do not like leaving messages on a machine, but remember that the message on it was recorded by a human being – me – and leaving a short message can be a lifeline and certainly enables me to come back to you quickly. All this may seem so obvious to many of you, but I would much rather hear once or twice about any concerns you may have than not at all. Also, the manse – 27 Church Road – is always an open house if you want to visit me privately here, but again, a phone call first to make sure I am in is advisable. Every blessing
