What happens on Sundays

We have a Sunday morning service in the church at from 10 until 11am. After the service most people stay for tea/ coffee and a chat.

You may sit anywhere you like in the church and wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

Since the pandemic our service has become hybrid, so a few of our church members now join us on Zoom. Whilst we do have hymn books at each seat, the words are projected onto a wall.  For more information on our Zoom link please use the contact us form.

As is usual for the Methodist church we have a variety of different preachers each month. You can view the quarterly circuit plan here. Our services have hymns, a short talk or sermon and prayers. During most services we will take an offering for the work of our church in the community and the world. A steward will bring a plate around but, as a visitor, you are not obliged to put anything into it.

The first Sunday of the month we have a service aimed at families where we have craft, games and snacks. We welcome families to all our services and we have an area for the children in the church with bean bags, activity table, books and toys.

We have our Communion service on the third Sunday of the month. The Methodist Church hosts an open table, by this we mean that anyone is welcome to share communion with us. A Steward will guide you when to go forward but there is no pressure on anyone to take part. We will explain how we will serve communion during the service.

We have a leaflet to welcome new people to our church and there are yellow cards available for you to share your contact details with us, when you feel ready.
