Our church has made a commitment towards A Rocha UK’s EcoChurch scheme. This means that we are committed to considering sustainability and care for God’s creation within the decisions made concerning our church. We also endeavour to include celebration for the world and promote awareness of climate destruction in our worship. We encourage all people to be mindful of how they can care for creation within their homes and beyond.
As Christians and as Methodists we believe it to be our responsibility to be good stewards of creation as God called us to be. This means doing all we can to reduce the effects of climate change, protect biodiversity, conserve finite resources and minimise waste and pollution. It also means caring for and showing solidarity with those most affected by the climate crisis.
